Śmiało kroczyć tam, gdzie nie dotarło jeszcze żadne prawo!
Dear colleagues, dear researchers and teaching community,
I’m from Ukraine. I’m from Kharkiv.
Our lives have changed completely since February 24, 2022.
Ukraine was attacked by putin’s occupiers. For the first two days, we were scared of the bombing of strategic objects in the city and beyond. On the third day, putin’s occupiers started killing us. Bombs are dropped on Kharkiv, civilians are killed, and they are not allowed to leave the city. People are constantly on the verge of death. We lose people every day. Unfortunately, Ukrainian scientists are now facing additional challenges in trying to survive and save their lives…
For the past five years, I have been promoting space law in universities in Ukraine. During this time, we have introduced an English-language program for foreign students called „International Air and Space Law” (V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University) and „Public Administration in Space Activity” (Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University). We also worked on the implementation of the Draft Law on the extraction and use of space resources. We believed that Ukraine was a space state…
And now we are hiding in basements and bomb shelters, running to other countries. Some of us have gone into territorial defense; some, unfortunately, are no longer with us.
But in spite of everything, we believe in our victory, we believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in the support of other countries.
And we will definitely be a Space Country.
Слава Україні! Слава Героям!
